Facial Esthetics from Your Dentist

When you’re thinking of a dentist in Indianapolis, IN, you probably don’t think of them providing Botox and Juvederm. But at DentalSpa, you can get your dental work done, in addition to facial injectables in a spa-like atmosphere. Dr. Marckese believes in looking at the face as a whole, not just your smile.

Botox at DentalSpa

Dr. Marckese uses Botox for both esthetic purposes and TMJ treatment. Botox can be used to smooth out the lines and wrinkles on the face that contribute to aging. This takes years off of the skin, as well as keeping you looking refreshed. During your treatment, we can offer a massaging chair, complimentary hand treatments, and aromatherapy.

Botox is also a proven treatment for TMJ and other bite problems causing recurring headaches. Dr. Marckese will analyze your condition and decide on the number and placement of injections. Botox can relax the muscles that you use to clench your teeth, taking away the pain they cause by being tense all of the time. Treatment with Botox usually lasts about six months.

Juvederm at DentalSpa

Juvederm is a filler that’s specifically used for the lips, therefore accentuating your smile. It’s made of a naturally occurring substance called hyaluronic acid, so nothing artificial is introduced in the body. It restores volume, moisture, and softness to those areas that are affected by aging. Aging causes the skin to droop and sag as hyaluronic acid production decreases.

This treatment can last anywhere from six months to two years. Dr. Marckese will typically use one or two syringes to treat the areas you’re concerned about. The best thing about this treatment is that you’ll see results immediately! Some bruising and swelling may occur around the injection sites, but this shouldn’t last longer than a week.

The Benefits of Facial Esthetics From Your Indianapolis Dentist

Having your dentist also be your provider of facial treatments is extremely convenient. The facial injections we use are often reapplied on a six-month basis. This means that when you go in for your twice-yearly dental checkups, you can also get your injections at the same time. You don’t have to make separate appointments and worry about keeping everything straight.

Dr. Marckese’s experience with symmetry and the whole of the face makes her especially adept at facial esthetics work. She can recommend the facial treatments that would work best for your face and accentuate your smile.

We also make sure you have a comforting spa atmosphere for all of your treatments. We want you to feel comfortable and get the best experience you could have with both your dental work and facial injections.
